When I set out to do those video interviews one of my major goals was to make sure I talk to people who use technology to help other people's lives.
I will admit to not being interested on how the data can help marketers or how we can build smarter fridges that will remind us when were running out of milk. Because of this, I was thrilled to talk to Avirup Basu.
Avirup is still a student in India where he has come up with a very clever and innovative way to protect elephants from running into trains.
If you like wild life, like me, then it's really cool to see the Internet of things being used in such a good way. We don't just talk about tech but also between where the gap may be in IoT for better projects to come to fruition (hint: It's neither hardware nor software!)
