During the 2016 Intel Software Innovators' summit, all the innovators split into teams and tried to build an autonomous car that could navigate a maze using an Intel Joule powered car and technology such as Real Sense.

Our team ended up with the "problem child/car" and had to deal with broken wifi, busted tire, and broken servos.  Believe it or not, the experience gave us a new found respect for the Nasa folks and also helped us ponder about the pitfalls of IoT development.
